How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Timely Care Coordination: Streamlines the diagnostic imaging timeline, ensuring that critical reports, biopsied, and next steps are efficiently communicated to patients and referring providers.
- Clinical Patient Education: Translates complex imaging procedures and pathology results into clear, understandable terms, helping patients make informed decisions about their care plan.
- Psychosocial and Barrier Support: Identifies and eliminates barrier to care, such as transportation, financial, or emotional hurdles. Provides direct, closed-loop communication for sensitive results.
- Continuity of Care: Acts as the primary point of contact for the patient, guiding them seamlessly from initial screening to surgical consultations or specialized oncology services.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Licensed Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing required.
- BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
What additional preferences we're seeking
- Prior RN Navigator experience in a busy Radiology or Breast Imaging atmosphere is highly valued
