What Youll Do- Provide expert nursing care to patients in the PCU, managing conditions such as CVA, TIA, and post-COVID recovery
- Administer medications, including drip titrations (Levophed, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Insulin)
- Manage IV therapies, including CVL placement, foley catheters, tube feedings via NGT or PEG, and arterial lines
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs and neurologic status (NIHSS)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including hospitalists, RTs, PT, and OT
- Maintain accurate charting using Meditech Expanse EMR and appropriate equipment
- Support unit functions, float as necessary to Med-Surg units, and uphold patient care standards
What You Need- Valid RN license in Louisiana or compact state
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an acute care setting
- Proficiency in CVL management, drip titration, and NIHSS assessment
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam upon onboarding
- Strong clinical skills, professionalism, and ability to work as part of a team
