Additional Unit Information Interdisciplinary Support: IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary Patient Diagnoses: Surgical Trauma Special Procedures/Unit Details: A 41-bed progressive care trauma / Tele unit primarily geared towards adult patients requiring care after experiencing traumatic injury typically requiring surgical intervention. The typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:4 flexing up to 1:5 as needed. The unit is equipped with telemetry monitoring for up to 14 patients. 7 East and West patients are hemodynamically stable. Examples of these patients include those with injuries related to gunshot wounds or other penetrating injury, assaults, motor vehicle crashes, and falls.
