• Shift / Schedule: Night Shift, 3x12 Hours (19:00 07:00)

Job Summary

This is a mixed acuity unit serving PCU, MS Tele, and MS patients. Ratios are adjusted by acuity. Candidates must have PCU/IMC experience within the last 3 years.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across a mixed acuity unit serving PCU, MS Tele, and MS patients
• Manage patient ratios of 1:3 5 for days and weekends; 1:3 7 for nights
• Float to corresponding sister units: West 2, West 3, and the Observation unit as required
• Care for patients with diagnoses including PCU and MS Tele, surgical pre and post; ENT, general surgery, trauma surgery, ortho surgery, and overflow medical diagnosis patients
• Manage rare pediatric patients only if experienced (travelers not assigned unless experienced)
• Work every other weekend as required

Education Requirements

• NY RN License required (NY is not a Compact state)
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; PCU/IMC experience within the last 3 years required

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• PCU/IMC experience within the last 3 years (required)
• First-time travelers accepted

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Mixed acuity inpatient unit serving PCU, MS Tele, and MS patients
• Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 07:00)
• Float requirement: Yes may be floated to sister units (West 2, West 3, and Observation unit)
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• RTO: 7 days maximum
• Unit orientation: 12 hours
• Scrubs: Any solid color

• Must be located more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Travel/contract position; first-time travelers are accepted
• COVID-19 vaccination: Not required
