SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING

" Shift hours : 4x12s, days 645a-715p
" Charting: EPIC experience required
" Weekend Requirement: May be EOW or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
" RTO, Block & Special Scheduling Requests: ALL requests must be included with the submission.
" Call off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2-weeks.
" Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract.
" Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes.
" Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: Yes, locals accepted. Refer to Submittal Instructions for radius rule criteria.
" Pending License Accepted: Yes, only if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state. Otherwise, submission must include an active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license.

REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS

" Cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
" IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care
" Medication administration including cardiac drips (no titration)
" Respiratory support: nasal cannula, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management
" Ventilator care for chronic trach and vent patients
" Rapid Response and Code team activation
" Isolation precautions and telemetry settings across PCU, DOU, IMC, and stepdown units
UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING

" Ratios: Typically 1:5. Goal: 1:4
" General PCU unit. Hybrid unit consisting of 10 PCU beds and 2 ICU beds. Vent/trach dependent patients
"Common diagnosis: DKA, COPD, Sepsis, Suicide/Overdose, Chronic respiratory failure, renal failure
" 2 beds for chronic trach patients
" Remote telemetry (monitors remain on unit); tele sitting implemented to increase Patient Care Tech coverage
" Floating: Will be required to float within skillset
