SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING

" Shift hours: 3x12s, 645p-715a

" Charting: Epic experience required

" Weekend Requirement: May be EOW or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block

" RTO: ALL requests must be included with the submission.

" Call off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2-weeks.

" Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract.

" Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes

" Locals Accepted? Yes, locals accepted. Refer to the Submittal Instructions for radius rule criteria.

REQUIRED LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS

" ACLS / BLS / NIHSS

" Pending License Accepted: Yes, only if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state. Otherwise, submission must include an active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license.

" Cardiac monitoring and emergency response, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, activation of Rapid Response/Code teams

" IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, central/peripheral line care

" Administration and management of cardiac drips (Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin, low-dose dopamine/dobutamine, Amiodarone, Nitro, Bumex, Lasix no titration)

" Respiratory support (nasal cannula, oxygen delivery, non-invasive airway management)

" Ratios: Days: 1:5 (Goal ratio is 4:1; however, consistently work at a 1:5 ratio)

" PCU caring for adult and geriatric patients; high turnover

" Primary focus: chest pain management, expedite ER flow, rule in/out MI; Overflow from cardiology and medicine PCU; occasional post-cath patients

" Remote telemetry with monitors on unit; tele sitting implemented

" Floating required within skillset
