What You’ll Do:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU with various medical conditions such as cardiac, neurological, and post-surgical care
• Monitor patients utilizing cardiac telemetry and respond to clinical changes
• Manage advanced skills including chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and titratable medication administration (with manager approval)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including RT, hospitalist, OT, PT, and ST
• Document patient information accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Support on-call or charge nurse duties when assigned
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and patient care standards

What You Need:

• Current RN license in Louisiana or eligible state license
• At least 2 years of acute care RN experience in a hospital setting
• BLS, ACLS, NIH certification—preferred or required (training available)
• Strong skills in telemetry, medication management, and patient monitoring
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam prior to start

The unit features a 12-bed telemetry stepdown/MedSurg setting with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3.
