What You’ll Do:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a stepdown and med-surg setting, including patients with CVA, TIA, post-surgical spinal cases, and more
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond quickly to patient needs
• Administer titratable medications such as Cardene, Cardizem, Insulin, Heparin, Neo, and Levophed (with manager approval)
• Manage chest tubes, traches, peritoneal dialysis, lumbar drains, and other specialized procedures (preferred but not required)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including RT, hospitalists, OT, PT, and ST
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Support unit operations as needed, working alongside charge nurses and other staff

What You Need:
Required:

• Active RN license valid in Louisiana
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam

Preferred:

• Experience with titratable medication management, chest tubes, traches, or dialysis (not mandatory)
• Strong telemetry skills and familiarity with Meditech Expanse
