What You’ll Do
  • Provide direct patient care for diverse medical-surgical conditions including cardiac, stroke, and post-op patients
  • Administer titratable medications such as Cardene, Cardizem, Insulin, Heparin, Neo, Levophed (manager approval required for some)
  • Manage support procedures like chest tubes and tracheostomies (preferred experience)
  • Support patient monitoring, documentation, and care coordination utilizing EMR (Meditech Expanse)
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RT, hospitalists, PT/OT/ST professionals
  • Work within nurse-to-patient ratios (RN 1:3, CNA 1:7) and unit guidelines
What You Need
Required:
  • Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible
  • 2+ years acute care RN experience
  • BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications
  • Ability to pass EKG competency exam
  • Key skills in medication administration, patient monitoring, and support procedures

Preferred:
  • Experience with chest tubes, trachs, dialysis, lumbar drains
  • Previous hospital telemonitoring experience
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
