What You'll Bring:
  • Valid RN license and current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care settings
  • Strong clinical skills including titratable medication administration (e.g., Cardene, Cardizem, Insulin), chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and support with peritoneal dialysis and lumbar drains (preferred)
  • Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
  • Excellent patient assessment and critical thinking abilities
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with EMR systems such as Meditech Expanse
  • Familiarity with IV pumps (Alaris), medication dispensing (Pyxis), and invasive procedures
  • Ability to support stroke, cardiac, and surgical patient populations
  • Experience with resource staffing, charting, and equipment management

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Active RN license
  • At least 2 years of recent acute care RN experience
  • Prior experience in Medical-Surgical or Stroke units (preferred)

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work various shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Must wear appropriate scrubs (Pewter color) and badges visible above the waist
  • Reliable parking in designated hospital areas
  • Willingness to adhere to unit-specific protocols and participate in onboarding and orientation
