How you'll make an impact in this role

• Clinical Care & Assessment: Monitor vital signs, perform clinical assessments, and manage pediatric care across 3rd and 4th floor units.
• Specialized Interventions: Administer medications, chemotherapy, biotherapy, central line care, NG tubes, tracheostomies, chest tubes, and phlebotomy.
• Family Communication: Explain care plans clearly to families and advocate for patient-centered pediatric care.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with specialists, physicians, and care teams; support rapid response and safety protocols.
• Care Coordination: Manage shift assignments, admissions, discharges, and patient workflow.
• Mentorship: Orient and precept new nursing staff and associates.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preference :

• Previous experience with pediatric patients
