Position Title: Registered Nurse – Pediatric
Location: Bethesda MD 20892
Duration: 13 weeks
Work Schedule: 3*12-night shifts with holiday night shift and weekends as needed
Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) – Key Responsibilities- Provide compassionate, age-appropriate nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents.
- Assess, monitor, and document patients' physical and emotional conditions.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, immunizations, and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor vital signs and promptly report changes in patient condition to the healthcare team.
- Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on physician orders and patient needs.
- Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
- Respond appropriately to pediatric emergencies following established clinical protocols.
- Promote infection prevention and maintain a safe, clean environment for patients and families.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and their families throughout treatment.
- Participate in patient handoffs, care coordination, and interdisciplinary rounds to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications:
Education: Have education as follows: Either (a), a bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited university; or (b) a diploma graduate in Nursing from an accredited university or (c) an associate degree in Nursing from an accredited university. Successfully passed National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).Certification: Current BLS and ACLS if required by the client
Experience: Required 2-3 years of current peds acute care hospital experience
Licensure: Valid license in at least 1 state, territory or commonwealth of the US
