Job Description
A Central New York-based health services organization is seeking a new, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Ortho team in Madison County.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Per Diem (Sept 15 to 17 and Oct 27 to 29 and Nov 3 to Nov 5)
- Hours: 8am to 4pm
- Setting: Outpatient physician practice
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans
- Administer prescribed medications in accordance with facility policies and procedures
- Use critical thinking and accurate documentation to support safe, effective care
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team to support coordinated care
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, rehabilitation, and wellness
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff in an orthopedic setting
Qualifications:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Available for all listed project dates
Desired Skills:
- Experience in Orthopedics, Ambulatory Care, Outpatient Clinics, Medical-Surgical, or Physician Practice settings
