  • Assist surgeons with in-office procedures (e.g., minor surgical interventions, injections).
  • Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Complete and process patient paperwork, including FMLA forms, ensuring accurate submission to the appropriate parties.
  • Submit surgeon's orders (e.g., anesthesia, antibiotics) to hospitals prior to patient appointments and surgeries to ensure readiness on the day of surgery.
  • Maintain patient rooms, including restocking supplies and communicating supply needs to management.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, sterile techniques, and surgical clinic standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills to manage patient care, testing, documentation, and surgical preparation.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to support patient education and deliver an exceptional patient experience.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee is required.
  • BLS certification required or must be obtained within three months of hire.
