Job Description: Unit: 5N Postpartum Shift: Floating Required: No Must have acute care experience. Must work every other weekend. Must work every other major holiday. Flu vaccine required during season. Scrub Color: Scrubs are provided. Orientation: Hospital system wide orientation 3 days; 3 days on unit. On-Call Requirements: Not required; they do call for volunteers to cover vacant shifts, if needed. Unit Specifics: Common patient diagnosis: Post vaginal delivery; post c-section delivery; intermittent post-partum magnesium or postpartum hemorrhage Required Drips & Medications: IV antibiotics; IV magnesium intermittently, PRBC; rhogam, lovenox Specialty Equipment: WOur Companyh Allyn blood pressure; Nihon Khoden; venodynm machine; IV pump; panda warmer; Medela Breast pump Patients: Newborn Number of Beds in the Unit: 13 Postpartum and 4 Continuing Care Nursery Submission Requirements: Up to date resume that includes 1+ year(s) of experience in Postpartum. Travel experience preferred; willing to accept first time travelers. 2 recent Charge RN/Manager/Supervisor references matching specialty Skills Checklist matching specialty Drivers licenses with address that matches demographics Current AHA BLS & NRP required. Lactation certification preferred.
