About Our Postpartum Unit
Mt Auburn's 28-bed Postpartum Unit is built around a family-centered, couplet care model, keeping mothers and newborns together to support bonding, recovery, and early parenting. Each unit includes a Level I Nursery for procedures or additional care when needed.
We are proud of our strong culture of low-intervention, patient-centered birth, with a high rate of midwifery-supported deliveries and excellent outcomes for families.
The Role
As a Postpartum Registered Nurse, you will care for mother-baby couplets, supporting both physical recovery and newborn transition. You will provide education on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery while ensuring a safe, compassionate patient experience.
Nurses typically care for 3 couplets, with flexibility based on patient needs, and work closely with a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Job is physical in nature and employee needs to stand and/or move around through the majority of their shift.

Pay Range:
$37.00 - $95.37
The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
