How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Serve as the Clinical Nurse Specialist and evidence-based practice expert to improve patient care, patient safety, and nursing quality across assigned clinical areas.
- Partner with interdisciplinary teams and clinical leaders to identify quality improvement opportunities, strengthen care coordination, and improve patient outcomes through best practices.
- Lead evidence-based practice initiatives by implementing clinical guidelines, updating protocols, and supporting quality improvement efforts that enhance direct patient care.
- Analyze quality metrics, patient safety data, and clinical documentation to identify trends, measure outcomes, and drive continuous improvement in nursing practice.
- Coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff through education, unit rounding, and competency support to strengthen clinical excellence and professional growth.
- Collaborate with clinical leaders to implement evidence-based solutions that improve patient outcomes, ensure regulatory compliance, and support high-quality, patient-centered care.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross or American Heart Association accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
What additional preferences we're seeking
- 3 year previous critical care experience preferred.
- preceptor critical care experience preferred.
