Job Description

Responsible for managing designated operational unit to ensure superior customer service and patient care in a highly efficient and cost-effective manner. Oversees clinical operations, as well as the day to day operational activities supporting designated practice. Acts as point person for any and all practice related activities and issues. Able to analyze challenging clinical situations and problem solve and enact solutions.

  • Establishes targeted goals and growth plans for staff

  • Monitors employee performance and conducts effective performance evaluation sessions

  • Regularly documents issues, performs disciplinary/coaching sessions and keeps management apprised of significant personnel and operational issues

  • Participates in orientation of new staff and provides in-service training to new and existing staff as needed to promote compliance with standards

  • Implements changes and keeps staff up to date with clear and concise communications

  • Ensures excellent customer service levels as measured by patient, staff, and provider satisfaction surveys

  • Ensures timely submission of reports, performance reviews, accounts payable documentation, and other materials required to support effective department and corporate operations

  • Oversees all activities of the assigned operational practice - provides leadership and direction to direct reports and providers, and acts as positive role model

  • Drives the development and execution of short- and long-term business plans by collaborating with physician leadership and corporate administration in strategic planning and marketing for the practice

  • Continuously identifies and implements ways to maximize efficiency, productivity and resource allocation

  • Resolves issues and notifies Director of situations that may hinder team''s ability to provide excellent service

  • Responds promptly and effectively to patient and provider concerns

  • Analyzes data reports and acts on significant trends affecting overall effectiveness of the department

  • Participates in inter-departmental meetings and serves as liaison to outside stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution

  • Three years of nursing experience in acute or ambulatory care practice

  • Active CT Registered Nurse license

  • Two years in a supervisory capacity preferred

  • CPR Certification
