Position Summary
Under the direction of the Transplant Program Medical Director and Senior Nurse Practitioner, the Registered Nurse - Pre-Lung Transplant Coordinator serves as a specialized clinician and patient advocate responsible for managing the full pre-transplant continuum of care for lung transplant candidates. This role ensures regulatory compliance with CMS Conditions of Participation and UNOS bylaws, coordinates multidisciplinary evaluation and serves as the primary clinical point of contact for patients and families navigating the transplant process. The RN Coordinator plays a critical role in reducing adverse survey findings by ensuring timely data submission and adherence to programmatic and accreditation standards.
