Job Description
Summary:
- Duration: 13 Weeks
- Shift: 12-Hour Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
- Assignment Dates: 10/20/2026 – 01/23/2027
Responsibilities:
- Provide care in a 34-bed unit with private rooms.
- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 or 3:1.
- Work every other weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday).
Requirements:
- Education: BSN required
- Required Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric cardiac progressive care or cardiac step-down experience
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient pediatric cardiology experience (ICU or Intermediate Care)
- Strong working knowledge of pediatric three-stage single ventricle care
- Competence in caring for pediatric cardiology patients, including single ventricle, heart transplant, and ventricular assist devices (VAD)
- Previous travel experience preferred; first-time travelers will be considered
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Pediatric VAD patients
- Teaching Hospital experience preferred
