A hospital in Fort Myers is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Progressive Care Unit. Position Overview
The PCU RN provides comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex medical and surgical conditions requiring continuous assessment and close monitoring. This role is responsible for evaluating patient needs, implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to promote positive outcomes and safe transitions throughout the continuum of care.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct nursing care to patients requiring progressive-level monitoring and treatment
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly respond to changes in clinical status
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions as prescribed
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge plans
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
• Support patient safety initiatives and evidence-based nursing practices
• Assist with discharge planning and care transitions to promote continuity of care
Qualifications
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience within the last 2 years required
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic acute care setting
