Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Location: Watertown, New York, 13601
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 08/24/2026 – 11/25/2026
Shift: Day Shift | 3 x 12 07:00 AM – 07:30 PM Weekend, Holiday & Call Rotation Required 36 Guaranteed Hours Per Week

Candidate Requirements:
•       Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
•       Current New York RN License Required
•       Minimum 2 Years of Progressive Care/Critical Care Experience Preferred
•       AHA BLS Certification Required
•       AHA ACLS Certification Required
•       NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification Required
•       AHA PALS Certification Preferred
•       Traveler Must Have Completed at least One Successful Travel Assignment
·       100-Mile Radius Rule Applies


Responsibilities include:
• Delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring progressive and critical care.
• Performing detailed patient assessments and developing individualized care plans.
• Recognizing changes in patient conditions and responding promptly.
• Administering medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Providing patient and family education and emotional support.
• Prioritizing patient care while managing multiple responsibilities.
• Demonstrating leadership skills, including delegation and coordination of patient care.
• Maintaining patient safety through proper lifting techniques and safe patient handling practices.
• Collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• May be required to serve as Charge Nurse when needed.
