Registered Nurse- Psych Unit

WCS Healthcare Partners is representing a leading healthcare organization seeking experienced Registered Nurses for multiple contract openings.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing patient evaluations.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Complete admission, transfer, and discharge nursing assessments.
• Coordinate continuity of care and discharge planning.
• Provide direct patient care and therapeutic nursing interventions.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatment.
• Ensure secure storage, documentation, and administration of medications, including controlled substances.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and required reports.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and case reviews.
• Manage assigned caseloads and prioritize patient care needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in individual, group, and family treatment activities as appropriate.
• Assist with crisis intervention and behavioral health stabilization efforts.
• Promote compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
• Share clinical expertise and support quality improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Active Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) License or qualifying Multistate Compact License.
• Minimum of two (2) years of Registered Nurse experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) may substitute for one year of required experience.
• Strong assessment, communication, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Behavioral Health, Psychiatric Hospital, or Mental Health Nursing experience.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults with complex psychiatric and behavioral health needs.
• Experience participating in multidisciplinary treatment teams.
