Registered Nurse (RN) – Radiology

Location: Hackensack, NJ 07601
Job Type: Contract – No Benefits
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 8 Hours/Day | 5 Days/Week
Total Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Schedule: 2:30 PM–11:00 PM

Pay Rate

Local: $60–$63/Hour, Based on Experience
Travel: $65–$70/Hour, Based on Experience

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an acute-care facility required.
  • Radiology experience preferred.
  • Experience with IV insertion, port access, and management of allergic reactions required.
  • ASN required; BSN preferred.
  • Active New Jersey RN license required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification through AHA required.
  • PALS certification through AHA required.
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient-care skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, evidence-based, and individualized nursing care to patients in the Radiology Department.
  • Provide nursing coverage and support for CT Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine/PET services.
  • Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care.
  • Assess patient needs and establish priorities through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care through initial and ongoing assessments.
  • Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage assigned patient care.
  • Monitor patients for changes in clinical and diagnostic status.
  • Perform age- and disease-specific assessments and comprehensive data collection.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
  • Provide patient and family education based on age, disease, and cultural needs.
  • Document patient care according to applicable standards, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
  • Perform IV insertion and port access and appropriately manage allergic reactions.
  • Advocate for evidence-based nursing practices and provide patient-centered care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
