Job Title: Registered Nurse – Rehabilitation Unit
Location: Watertown, NY
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 12-Hour Night Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Compensation:
- Pay Rate: $2,000 – $2,400/week (based on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Rehabilitation Unit travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment skills and experience caring for post-acute rehabilitation patients with complex recovery and nursing care needs.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols
- Monitor and document patient progress, responses to treatment, and outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams
- Educate patients and families regarding recovery goals, rehabilitation plans, and discharge needs
- Maintain compliance with nursing standards, safety guidelines, and facility policies
- Ensure patient safety, including safe mobility assistance and lift techniques
- Support rehabilitation goals by promoting patient independence and recovery
- May function as charge nurse when assigned
Patient Population:
- Post-acute rehabilitation patients requiring ongoing therapy and nursing support
- Patients with complex physical, cognitive, and functional recovery needs
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required
- BLS Certification required
- ACLS Certification required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required
- Minimum 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience required
- At least one successful travel assignment required
- Inpatient Rehabilitation experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and prioritization skills required
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
