The Clinical Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and supervision of the clinical team within a large specialty clinic. This position ensures efficient clinical workflow, appropriate staffing coverage, compliance with organizational standards, and support of quality patient care initiatives. The Clinical Manager works closely with the Clinical Director and serves as a key resource for clinical staff and operational coordination.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and supervise day-to-day operations of the clinical department within a large specialty clinic
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing and clinical support staff
Monitor employee time and attendance, scheduling, and productivity
Coordinate staffing coverage and workflow adjustments during employee absences or staffing shortages
Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of clinical personnel
Ensure clinical staff maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Track and monitor clinical inventory and medical supplies to ensure adequate stock levels
Assist with supply ordering, inventory management, and purchase approval processes
Collaborate with providers, administration, and other departments to promote efficient clinic operations and patient flow
Address operational and clinical concerns in a timely and professional manner
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency
Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and effective communication within all levels of the organization
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinical Director
Qualifications
Current Louisiana LPN or RN license preferred; however, qualified candidates with significant clinical management experience may be considered
Practice Administrator candidates with extensive clinical operations experience are encouraged to apply
Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical leadership or healthcare management experience preferred
Strong knowledge of clinical workflow, staffing coordination, and healthcare operations
Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced specialty clinic environment
Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications preferred
Physical Skills
Sufficient strength and endurance to perform physical duties including, but not limited to, standing for extended periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, twisting, and moving throughout the clinic environment
Physical dexterity and psychomotor skills necessary to respond appropriately to routine and emergent patient care needs
Ability to effectively utilize standard office and clinical equipment
Work Environment
Works in a patient care setting with potential exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, electrical hazards, fire hazards, chemicals, physical contact, and medical equipment hazards
Works in close-quarter and shared workspace environments with both incandescent and fluorescent lighting
Fast-paced specialty clinic environment requiring frequent interaction with patients, providers, and staff
