LifeBridge Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Acute Care team within the Healthcare & Medical Services department. As a key member of a collaborative, interdisciplinary care team, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of acute and complex medical conditions. In this role, you will perform comprehensive and focused patient assessments, identify changes in condition, and intervene promptly using sound clinical judgment. You will administer medications and treatments, manage IV therapies, perform wound care, monitor telemetry and vital signs, and coordinate all aspects of care to ensure safe, timely, and effective treatment. Working within our electronic health record, you will document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and efficiently, supporting continuity of care across shifts and disciplines.

As an RN in our acute care setting, you will develop individualized plans of care in partnership with patients, families, physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, case managers, and ancillary staff. You will play a critical role in patient and family education, helping them understand diagnoses, medications, procedures, and discharge instructions to promote safe transitions from hospital to home or other care settings. You will uphold rigorous standards of infection prevention, patient safety, fall reduction, and medication safety, consistently applying best practices and unit protocols. You will respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient status, participate in rapid responses and codes as appropriate, and escalate concerns through established communication pathways.

LifeBridge Health’s culture emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and community engagement, and you will be encouraged to contribute ideas that improve patient care and workflows. You will work closely with colleagues in a supportive environment that values teamwork, respect, and open communication. Opportunities to precept new nurses, support nursing students, and participate in shared governance and unit-based councils are available to those who wish to help shape practice. You will also have access to robust professional development resources, including ongoing education, in-services, and support for specialty certifications.

This position offers the chance to grow your acute care expertise while advancing your career within a regional healthcare organization that provides a comprehensive continuum of services across Maryland. LifeBridge Health is committed to continuous improvement in healthcare delivery and to improving health and promoting well-being in diverse communities. As a Registered Nurse in Acute Care, you will embody compassionate patient care, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to quality, safety, and outcomes. In return, you will find meaningful work, a strong sense of team, opportunities for career advancement, and a benefits package that supports your overall well-being, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement savings options. While schedules primarily center on on-site inpatient care, flexibility for limited remote work related to documentation, education, or meetings may be available at the manager’s discretion.
