Today
LifeBridge Health is seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Acute Care/Medical-Surgical team within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. As a key member of our collaborative care team, you will provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients with diverse and often complex medical and surgical conditions in an acute hospital setting. You will perform thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs and clinical status, administer medications and treatments, and respond quickly and appropriately to changes in patient condition. Using your strong clinical judgment, you will develop and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, case managers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

In this role, you will manage a varied caseload of patients, performing core med/surg responsibilities such as IV therapy, wound care and dressing changes, catheter care, telemetry or continuous monitoring where applicable, pain management, and post-operative care. You will prioritize and coordinate care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all interventions are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with current standards of practice. Accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) will be an essential part of your daily work, capturing assessments, interventions, patient responses, and communication with the care team.

Patient and family education is a central component of the RN role at LifeBridge Health. You will provide clear explanations about diagnoses, tests, medications, treatments, and follow-up instructions, promoting understanding, engagement, and safe transitions of care from hospital to home or other settings. You will actively participate in discharge planning, collaborating with case managers and social workers to help patients access the resources they need in the community. Throughout each encounter, you will demonstrate empathy, respect, and cultural sensitivity while supporting our mission to improve health and promote well-being in diverse communities across Maryland.

As part of a regional healthcare organization that values collaboration, innovation, and community engagement, you will be encouraged to contribute ideas that enhance care quality, patient safety, and workflow efficiency on the unit. You will participate in unit-based councils, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based practice projects as appropriate. LifeBridge Health is committed to your professional development; you will have opportunities for ongoing education, specialty certifications, and career advancement within our continuum of care, including potential pathways into leadership, education, or specialty practice areas.

The ideal candidate is a licensed Registered Nurse who demonstrates strong clinical assessment skills, sound critical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in an acute care environment. You are comfortable working as part of a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary team and communicating clearly with colleagues, patients, and families. You are committed to continuous learning and openness to new approaches in healthcare delivery. At LifeBridge Health, you will join a supportive team dedicated to compassionate patient care, continuous improvement, and making a meaningful impact on the health of the communities we serve.
