Registered Nurse (RN) – Administrative / Surveyor Role

Location: Syracuse, NY 

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for an administrative and regulatory compliance role supporting home and community-based healthcare services. This position focuses on quality assurance, agency surveillance, and regulatory compliance for licensed and certified home care organizations.

The RN will assist with evaluating healthcare agencies, reviewing compliance with state regulations, and supporting investigations related to patient care quality and safety.

Schedule

  • Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • 5x8-hour shifts per week
  • No block scheduling
  • Contract duration: 26 weeks

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality reviews and compliance assessments of home care and hospice agencies
  • Review Plans of Correction submitted by healthcare agencies
  • Perform off-site complaint investigations and documentation reviews
  • Interview staff, patients, and complainants as part of investigations
  • Evaluate agency compliance with healthcare laws, regulations, and standards
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and regulatory documentation
  • Support licensing, renewal, and agency change-of-ownership processes
  • Participate in enforcement actions and hearings when required
  • Collaborate with internal teams on regulatory and quality improvement initiatives
  • Utilize computer systems for data entry, reporting, and documentation tracking

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with complex data entry systems
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
