Job Description
A residential services organization in Queens, New York is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN )to provide medical oversight and nursing support in an OPWDD residential group home setting.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday
- Hours: 10am to 6pm or 11am to 7pm
- Setting: Residential facility
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, planning, implementation, and supervision of medical care for individuals supported in the residence
- Deliver comprehensive nursing services and interventions to meet ongoing health care needs
- Monitor and coordinate nursing activities to support continuity of medical care and services
- Collaborate with physicians, residence leadership, and clinical staff to address medical needs and follow care plans
- Develop, update, and oversee individualized nursing care plans, medication records, and related medical documentation
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of residential OPWDD experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience in a Group Home setting
- Experience with G-tube and Tracheostomy Care
Desired Skills:
- Experience working with autistic young adults
