Registered Nurse (RN) - Ambulatory Endoscopy Inpatient and Outpatient
Part Time - Day Shift, Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm - 3 - 8 hour shifts per week. (flexible on days) No weekends/on-call
Responsibilities Include: work completed on the endoscopy unit and in the GI clinic. RN will be responsible for management of patients preparing for endoscopy procedures as well as management of patients with PEG tubes. General clinic inbasket, scheduling, etc responsibilities also.
Candidate Preferences: Minimum of 3 years Ambulatory/Clinic or inpatient RN experience. GI/Gastro/Endoscopy or experience teaching/educating patients on PEG tube management. Needs to be organized, self starter, work well independently and with other teams, multi task, etc. EPIC experience is a must.
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
