    Registered Nurse (RN)  OPWDD / Developmental Disabilities

    Registered Nurse Responsibilities

    • Deliver skilled nursing care to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

    • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing health evaluations.

    • Administer medications, treatments, and injections as prescribed.

    • Monitor patient health status and report changes to physicians and interdisciplinary team members.

    • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.

    • Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation.

    • Respond appropriately to medical emergencies.

    • Educate individuals, families, and direct support staff on health-related needs.

    • Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations, agency policies, and nursing standards.

    • Promote patient dignity, independence, and quality of life.

    Qualifications

    • Active, unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.

    • Minimum of one (1) year of RN experience preferred.

    • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.

    • Current BLS/CPR Certification.

    • Excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

    • Reliable transportation.
