Job Summary

Our Nurses work in collaborative environments with strong interdisciplinary teams, focused on a patient centered care model in a richly diverse work space. Under the direction and general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the registered nurse utilizes evidence based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, policies and procedures of the hospital and as directed by the medical staff. The registered nurse who through knowledge and ability uses the nursing process to develop a plan of care which includes standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional spiritual, cultural and educational needs of the patient and family.

The Cardiac Angiography nurse provides direct patient care for both the inpatient and outpatient population in the Cardiac Cath Lab, Angiography Suites and CT Scan Radiology. The Cardiovascular Angiography nurse provides moderate sedation and cardiac monitoring for patients during cardiac catheterizations, percutaneous coronary intervention, peripheral vascular and Interventional Radiology and CT scan procedures as well as performs efficiently within the holding area of the Cath Lab/Interventional suite and Radiology

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Current Connecticut RN license (BSN preferred)
  • BLS certification, ACLS certification
  • 2-3 years nursing experience preferred(2 years' experience in critical care, emergency or equivalent experience preferred)
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and to work well under pressure.
  • On call potential - discuss with hiring manager
