Aspire Physical Recovery Center of West Alabama is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) Charge Nurse to lead our evening nursing team on a 7 On / 7 Off schedule.
This leadership role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional resident care while mentoring fellow nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment. Registered Nurse (RN) – Charge Nurse Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the nursing team during the evening shift.
- Provide direct nursing care in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and long-term care setting.
- Assess, monitor, and document changes in resident conditions.
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to physician orders.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized resident care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals.
- Supervise, mentor, and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
- Respond promptly to changes in resident condition and provide sound clinical leadership.
- Ensure accurate electronic nursing documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Promote resident safety, infection prevention, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Previous Charge Nurse or nursing leadership experience preferred.
- Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, post-acute care, or geriatric nursing preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
