Job Description
A healthcare organization in New York City is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team in the Bronx, providing nursing care in a residential facility serving individuals with developmental disabilities.
About the Opportunity:
Shift: Day shift
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Setting: Residential facility
Responsibilities:
Provide first aid and respond to emergency health needs of individuals served
Administer medications and supervise staff in safe medication administration and storage
Prepare and maintain accurate medical documentation and participate in individual case reviews
Support and train less experienced nursing staff and Licensed Practical Nurses as needed
Attend team meetings, in-service sessions, and travel between Bronx program sites as required
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in community-based health services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program
Current New York State Registered Nurse license and registration
Current CPR certification
Working knowledge of equipment commonly used by individuals receiving services, including wheelchairs and adaptive devices
Desired Skills:
