Jacksonville Health and Rehabilitation is expanding our Day Shift nursing team and offering multiple scheduling options for RNs, giving you more flexibility in how you structure your workweek.

Whether you prefer traditional 8-hour shifts, longer 12- or 16-hour shifts, or the consistency of a 7-on/7-off schedule, we want to talk with you about an option that works for you and meets the needs of our residents.

Unlike many traditional hospital settings, long-term care gives you the opportunity to truly know the people you care for. You’ll walk alongside residents through recovery, help them regain or maintain independence, build meaningful relationships, and celebrate the progress that happens along the way.

What You’ll Do

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you’ll provide and coordinate skilled nursing care while working closely with physicians, CNAs, nursing leadership, and the interdisciplinary care team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with resident care plans and physician orders
• Perform nursing assessments and monitor residents for changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Recognize, document, and communicate significant changes in resident condition
• Notify physicians and other appropriate clinical team members as needed
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in resident care planning and interdisciplinary coordination
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
• Supervise and provide clinical direction to LPNs and CNAs as appropriate
• Promote infection prevention, resident safety, and regulatory compliance
• Maintain resident dignity, privacy, comfort, and independence
• Provide leadership and clinical support to the nursing team
• Follow facility policies and applicable federal and state regulations

What We’re Looking For

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation experience is a plus
• Strong nursing assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to changes in resident condition
• Strong organization and time-management skills
• Dependable and team-oriented approach to nursing
• Ability to provide clinical leadership and direction when needed
• Compassionate approach to caring for elderly and rehabilitation residents
• Commitment to safe, resident-centered care
