Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Electrophysiology / Cardiac Cath Lab to provide specialized patient care within invasive cardiac, electrophysiology, and vascular procedural settings. The RN will assist physicians during procedures, monitor patients, administer medications, and circulate or scrub as needed.
The ideal candidate will have previous procedural, electrophysiology, cardiac cath lab, or cardiac care experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced procedural environment.
Responsibilities
Provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac, electrophysiology, and vascular procedures.
Assist physicians during invasive procedures, including circulating, monitoring, and scrub-assist responsibilities as appropriate.
Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
Administer medications under physician direction and according to established protocols.
Monitor, calculate, interpret, and analyze clinical and procedural data.
Accurately document assessments, interventions, medications, procedures, and patient responses.
Communicate relevant patient information and changes in condition to physicians and other members of the clinical team.
Maintain patient comfort, safety, and well-being throughout procedures.
Follow evidence-based practices and established standards of care.
Assist with developing and updating policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary cardiovascular and procedural teams.
Qualifications / Requirements
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure as required by the state.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Previous procedural and/or cardiac care experience strongly preferred.
Electrophysiology (EP), Cardiac Cath Lab, interventional cardiology, or other invasive procedural experience highly preferred.
Candidates should ideally be comfortable working in a procedural environment with limited need for extensive on-the-job training.
Knowledge of cardiac monitoring, medication administration, patient assessment, and procedural nursing practices.
Ability to function effectively in circulating, monitoring, and procedural support capacities.
Strong critical-thinking and clinical assessment skills.
Ability to recognize changes in patient condition and communicate effectively with physicians and the multidisciplinary team.
Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
