Job Overview:
RWJBarnabas Health Somerset is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Endoscopy Unit.
Qualifications:
Requirements
BSN or currently matriculating,
Current New Jersey RN license is required
Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS Certification Required, (American Heart Association Only)
1-2 years RN experience required
Completion of all Orientation requirements
Successful completion of all Orientation Programs,
Preferred Experience:
Scheduling Requirements:
Day Shift, 40 Hours per week
This is an 8 hour shift, Monday-Friday
Mandatory on call shifts
On call shifts occur on the weekend, major holidays, and 6p-7a Monday-Friday
Essential Functions:
The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics
Organize and administers individualized age specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care
Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies
Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning
Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities
