Joining our Float Pool team means you'll work alongside diverse care teams across several nursing units at Sovah Health, making a meaningful impact wherever you go.

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

• Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and related medical care.
• Documents care provided in a timely, accurate manner.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Displays initiative and flexibility to float throughout the building to support departments and staff.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support).
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

What we're looking for 

The right person who will providedirect patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Applicants must have a current RN VA or compact state license. Associate's degree in nursing required. 

Additional requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support

• One to two years minimum bedside RN experience required

• Two to four years critical care experience preferred.

• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within three (3) months of hire

• American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification (ENPC) Emergency Nurse Association required or within six (6) months of hire.

Hourly Range -  Flat rate $50
