Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control and safety.
  • Thorough knowledge of chemo therapy regimens and pharmaceuticals for treatment.
  • Expansive knowledge of hematology/oncology processes and practices.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Superb understanding of nursing principles.
  • Excellent understanding of patient/family teaching principles.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Health Records(EHR) computerized practice management systems and other computerized systems (Microsoft office programs and electronic health records systems)
  • Ability to prioritize and problem solve both independently and with a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, bilingual in Spanish or Chinese helpful.

Required Experience

Required:

  • Current California RN license
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum 2 years Oncology experience in hospital and or office based setting required.

 Preferred:

  • Current chemotherapy preferred
  • OCN preferred
