Job Description
An established nonprofit organization on Long Island is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing team in Suffolk County. In this role, the Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential group home settings.
About the Opportunity:
Shift: Day
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 30 hours per week
Setting: Residential group home
Responsibilities:
- Review, update, and maintain individualized nursing care plans
- Conduct nursing assessments and physical observations
- Administer and monitor medications as ordered
- Ensure medication administration records are accurate and complete
- Perform medication counts, storage audits, and follow-up documentation
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Associate degree in Nursing.
- Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Strong assessment, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Experience with IDD, OPWDD, DOH, or OMH populations
- Residential or Group Home Nursing experience
- Medication administration and Care Plan Management experience
- Experience working with Developmentally Disabled populations
