A nonprofit organization in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to provide person-centered nursing care in a residential setting, with a focus on assessments, care coordination, medication oversight, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Hours: Standard business; flexibility for adjusted hours as needed
- Setting: Residential care setting
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Perform routine health reviews and monitor ongoing medical needs
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for adverse reactions
- Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Provide clinical consultation, staff education, and medication administration oversight
Qualifications:
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing
- Experience working in developmental disabilities, residential care, group home, behavioral health, or community health settings
- Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
- Strong assessment, communication, and care coordination skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
Desired Skills:
- Experience with OPWDD programs
- Experience in medication administration training and oversight
- Background supporting individuals in residential developmental disabilities programs
- Familiarity with quality assurance, audits, and regulatory compliance
