Description

A nonprofit organization in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to provide person-centered nursing care in a residential setting, with a focus on assessments, care coordination, medication oversight, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Day shift
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday
  • Hours: Standard business; flexibility for adjusted hours as needed
  • Setting: Residential care setting

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Perform routine health reviews and monitor ongoing medical needs
  • Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for adverse reactions
  • Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, families, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Provide clinical consultation, staff education, and medication administration oversight

Qualifications:

  • Active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing
  • Experience working in developmental disabilities, residential care, group home, behavioral health, or community health settings
  • Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong assessment, communication, and care coordination skills
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with OPWDD programs
  • Experience in medication administration training and oversight
  • Background supporting individuals in residential developmental disabilities programs
  • Familiarity with quality assurance, audits, and regulatory compliance
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
