Description

A medical services organization in New York City is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their OPWDD residential services team in Queens to provide clinical oversight and healthcare support across community-based residential programs.

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Day
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: Approximately 10am to 6pm
  • Setting: OPWDD IRA Residential Programs
Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical oversight and nursing support for individuals living in residential programs
  • Manage medication administration, medical follow-up, and related healthcare documentation
  • Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, pharmacies, families, guardians, and care teams
  • Support and train direct care staff on medical procedures and medication administration
  • Travel between residential sites throughout Queens and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple residential sites

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Medical-Surgical background
  • Experience supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
  • Experience in OPWDD, Residential, Community Health, or Case Management settings
