A medical services organization in New York City is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their OPWDD residential services team in Queens to provide clinical oversight and healthcare support across community-based residential programs.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Approximately 10am to 6pm
- Setting: OPWDD IRA Residential Programs
Responsibilities:- Provide clinical oversight and nursing support for individuals living in residential programs
- Manage medication administration, medical follow-up, and related healthcare documentation
- Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, pharmacies, families, guardians, and care teams
- Support and train direct care staff on medical procedures and medication administration
- Travel between residential sites throughout Queens and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple residential sites
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Medical-Surgical background
- Experience supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
- Experience in OPWDD, Residential, Community Health, or Case Management settings
