Job Description
A health services network in Upstate New York is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join one of its inpatient mental health facilities in Albany. The role involves conducting assessments, administering treatments, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support adult patients with serious mental health needs.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day, Evening, or Night
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Sunday, rotating weekends
- Hours: 3pm-11:30pm or 11pm to 7:30am
- Setting: Inpatient Adult Mental Health
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in an inpatient psychiatric setting
- Conduct nursing assessments, obtain vital signs, and monitor patient conditions and responses to care
- Administer medications and nursing procedures as prescribed
- Develop, implement, and update nursing care plans based on patient needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams and provide clinical guidance to nursing and direct care staff
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of post-licensure Clinical Nursing experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
Desired Skills:
- Bilingual
- Experience in Inpatient Mental Health or Psychiatric Nursing
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records and Clinical Documentation
