Position Summary
The RN Inpatient OB/GYN will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in labor, delivery, and postpartum units. The role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to handle obstetric emergencies, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care in OB/GYN inpatient unit
Monitor maternal and fetal conditions and respond to changes
Assist physicians during labor, delivery, and procedures
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Health Records (EHR)
Coordinate care with physicians and healthcare teams
Ensure compliance with clinical standards and federal regulations
Participate in quality assurance and patient safety initiatives
Required Qualifications
Experience
Minimum 2 3 years of recent Inpatient OB/GYN experience
Licensure
Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (any U.S. state)
Certifications (Required)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Any OB/GYN-specific certifications as required by facility
Required Skills
Experience in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum care
Ability to manage obstetric emergencies
Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR)
Strong clinical assessment and patient coordination skills
