Job Description
An internal medicine clinic in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to provide clinical leadership, patient care, and care coordination in an ambulatory setting.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Hours: Standard business; occasional late evenings until 8:00 PM
- Setting: In-person clinic
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support LPNs and Medical Assistants in daily clinical operations
- Coordinate staff scheduling, PTO requests, and delegation of clinical tasks
- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, vital signs, medications, and treatments
- Support care coordination through huddles, chart reviews, triage, and patient education
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR and serve as a liaison across the care team
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current, unrestricted New York State RN license
- BLS certification
- Experience in hospital and/or ambulatory care settings
- Knowledge of nursing regulations, standards, and best practices
- Experience with EMR systems
- Strong clinical judgment and patient care skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and delegate effectively
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Experience in internal medicine or a similar specialty setting
- EPIC experience
