Job Description
A healthcare organization in New York City is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) for a great opportunity at an internal medicine clinic in Queens.
About the Opportunity:
Shift: Day shift
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 40 hours per week; standard business hours with up to one late evening per week
Setting: Clinic
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical supervision to Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Assistants, including delegation, mentoring, evaluation, and scheduling support
- Deliver direct nursing care, administer medications and treatments, and coordinate patient care in collaboration with the care team
- Lead daily huddles, review patient charts, and help manage clinical supplies and workflow needs
- Support patient communication by triaging urgent requests, managing in-basket messages, and following up on test results and care recommendations
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record and support quality, safety, and compliance standards
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of Nursing experience in a Hospital or Ambulatory setting
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current, unrestricted NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, regulations, patient care standards, and medical chart reporting
- Experience with electronic medical records
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Master of Science in Nursing
- Experience in an Ambulatory or Specialty Care environment
- Familiarity with Epic
