Key Responsibilities

Triage

  • Manage walk‑in and phone triage using nursing judgment and established triage protocols
  • Determine appropriate levels of care, including immediate provider care, Emergency Department referral, urgent nurse visits, or scheduled appointments

Nurse Visits

  • Provide nurse visit services such as immunizations, injections, and blood pressure checks
  • Conduct urgent care nurse visits using standing orders for diagnostics and treatment (e.g., simple UTI, strep, flu, pregnancy testing), consulting providers as needed

Case Management

  • Coordinate patient care across the continuum-from clinic entry to specialty care, hospital visits, and follow‑up
  • Manage OB tracking and outreach
  • Provide patient education (e.g., smoking cessation, diabetes, weight management)

Direct Patient Care

  • Start and maintain IV lines; administer IV medications and fluids
  • Perform urinary catheterization and wound care
  • Deliver patient care as ordered by providers

Team Support

  • Assist with training new nurses and Medical Assistants
  • Support daily clinical operations and perform additional duties as needed

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Current Oregon RN or LPN license
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing
  • At least one year of nursing or medical field experience preferred
  • Current ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers
  • Strong critical thinking and clinical problem‑solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with patients, providers, and team members
  • Ability to lift 5-25 pounds occasionally and meet the physical demands of a clinical environment
