    Registered Nurse (RN) – La Jolla, CA

     

    A healthcare organization is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care within an acute care setting. This opportunity is ideal for nursing professionals who are passionate about supporting patients through complex medical and surgical recoveries while delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

    Responsibilities

    • Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions throughout hospitalization

    • Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans

    • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed

    • Monitor patient progress and respond appropriately to changes in condition

    • Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

    • Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans, recovery expectations, medications, and discharge instructions

    • Support patients recovering from complex medical and surgical procedures

    • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

    • Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and evidence-based nursing practices

    • Assist with admissions, discharges, and care transitions

    • Advocate for patient needs while supporting a positive patient experience

    Qualifications

    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure

    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

    • Previous acute care nursing experience preferred

    • Experience caring for medical-surgical, neurological, orthopedic, or post-surgical patients preferred

    • Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills

    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
