Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery
Status: Full-Time, 36 hours per week; Night Shift; 12-hour shifts
Location: Seattle, Washington
Relocation: Possible for an ideal candidate
Salary: $100,000 - $190,000
Bonus: $15,000 hiring bonus for eligible external candidates

Position Overview

An experienced Labor and Delivery RN is needed to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients and families throughout the childbirth experience. This full-time night-shift opportunity is designed for an RN with at least one full year of professional Labor and Delivery experience.

The RN will assess patient needs, coordinate individualized plans of care, monitor clinical status, collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team, and support safe, evidence-based outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and identify appropriate nursing diagnoses.

Develop, implement, evaluate, and update individualized patient care plans.

Monitor patient status and accurately document and communicate clinical changes.

Coordinate care and patient transitions across the continuum.

Advocate for patient autonomy, dignity, rights, values, and preferences.

Educate patients and families while supporting learning among nursing colleagues, students, and other healthcare professionals.

Apply evidence-based practices and established safety and quality standards to patient care.

Identify safety concerns and participate in initiatives designed to improve clinical outcomes.

Maintain required clinical competencies and pursue ongoing professional development.

Practice within applicable nursing regulations, professional standards, and ethical guidelines.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.

Provide appropriate delegation, coordination, and clinical leadership within the practice environment.

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Active Washington Registered Nurse license upon hire.

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification through the American Academy of Pediatrics upon hire.

Minimum of 1 full year of professional RN experience in a Labor and Delivery setting.

Labor and Delivery experience must be independent professional experience; nursing school clinical rotations, student work, and residency-program experience do not satisfy the one-year requirement.

Preferred Qualifications

National certification in the applicable nursing specialty.
