Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift assignment in Glencoe, MN. The RN will provide comprehensive maternal and newborn care throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery in a fast-paced acute care environment.
This role requires confidence in managing both routine and high-risk obstetric cases while ensuring safe, compassionate, and timely patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients throughout all stages of childbirth
- Continuously monitor maternal vital signs and fetal heart rate patterns
- Assist OB physicians and providers during labor, delivery, and postpartum care
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and pain management as ordered
- Respond to obstetric emergencies (fetal distress, hemorrhage, complications)
- Support and educate patients and families during labor and delivery process
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EMR
- Maintain adherence to obstetric protocols, safety standards, and infection control
- Collaborate with OB teams, anesthesiologists, and neonatal staff
- Provide postpartum care including bonding and breastfeeding support
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- BLS certification required
- Strong clinical judgment in obstetric and emergency situations
- Ability to work night shifts in a high-acuity environment
